PICKLE BALL CHAMPS -- Lyndon Town School held it's annual Pickle Ball Tournament for seventh and eighth graders recently. Teams were picked at random by teachers Lisa Paquette and Nick Hale. The tournament lasted in classes for several days with the final bracket tournament during a special Allied Arts time. Nick likes this tournament, "because the students have a lot of fun learning the skills, like forehand, backhand and serving, but they also get to work with new people." Lisa provided the prizes: two large jars of pickles. The winning of team of Sheldon Sanborn, at right, and Evan Bollman proved formidable as they remained undefeated for the entire time. Sheldon said, after receiving his jar of pickles, "This jar of pickles isn't food, it's a trophy and it's going on my trophy shelf." Evan said he'd probably eat his pickles, and was glad he and Sheldon got to be a team.
