The Danville School and Parent Teacher group will be hosting their annual Open House/Carnival on Thursday, Sept. 20, from 5:30-7 p.m.. This is their primary fundraiser of the year. The event will include food (Taco Bar Dinner), games and a Silent Auction/Raffle.

Some of the Silent Auction/Raffle items will include: an auto service from Quality Suzuki; Open Gym passes to Kingdom Gymnastics; four youth piano lessons; gift certificates from Trout River, Balliwicks, Goodfellas, Natural Provisions and Abby's Ice Cream; a night of camping at Sugar Ridge; $80 worth of minigolf; two movie passes from Star Theater; two tickets to Dead North; the PTG parking spaces; Kingdom Trails family pass $150 value; Farm Way $100 gift certificate; and a $100 heating oil gift certificate. These are just some of the items!

Some of the games will include face painting, cornhole, putt putt, a booth by the Danville Brownie Troop, and of course the cake walk. The games will vary in ticket price.

The Taco Dinner will be choice of Beef or Refried Bean Tacos and includes black bean and corn salad and bottled water. The Taco Dinner will go from 5:30-6:30 p.m. with games and Silent Auction/Raffle going until 7.

Those who wish to participate are encouraged to buy tickets right away. Ticket prices: 2 tickets/$1; or 22 tickets/$10; or 44 tickets/$20; or 88 tickets/$40. All Carnival food, raffle and game booths will take tickets, NOT CASH! The tickets will be waiting for you at the Carnival Ticket Booth on Sept. 20. The Parent Teacher Group's purpose is to "promote parental involvement in the education of their children, foster open communication between the school and community, and support financial needs of educational programs in the Danville community." The PTG organizes funding for the Danville School's activities and classrooms.
