"It is the mission of the Danville School to create a safe environment where each individual can grow intellectually, socially, and emotionally. We create a community of learners by emphasizing learning, respect, confidence, and individual excellence."

We have many significant student achievements to celebrate each and every day at Danville School. I am honored to be able to share some highlights of accomplishments by our students!

Sixth-grade student Chelsea Carcoba recently attended the regional portion of the Scripps National Spelling Bee contest at St. Michael's College. Chelsea made us proud with an outstanding performance! Special thanks to her friends, family and coach Chris Rapoza for helping her practice hundreds of challenging words. C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S!

Twelfth-grade students Tony Burrington and Scott Remick qualified to represent Northern Vermont in the Vermont Basketball Coaches Association North-South All-star game. This is a great honor and a nice capstone to stellar careers as student-athletes at Danville School.

Fourth-grade student Griffin Wright recently submitted an incredible sketch in the Doodle for Google contest. Contest winners receive up to $50,000 for purchasing technology equipment for their schools. Good luck Griffin!

2012-2013 Programs

The high school students at Danville School are actively engaged in pre-registration and planning their courses of study for the 2012-2013 school year. We are excited to offer some new options to students next year in the form of alternative "Pathways" to earn credit through internships and online learning through the 50-plus courses offered through the Vermont Virtual Learning Cooperative. We will also be offering project-based learning opportunities through a course in Sustainable Agriculture.

For those of you with Internet access, please feel free to check out our website at: www.danvillek12vt.us and follow the links to find our blog and Facebook page. All of these pages are updated frequently with exciting information from Danville School.

A special thank you to our staff, students, and families for their support in maintaining a positive and supportive learning environment from Pre-K through grade 12! We are committed to helping EVERY student learn and grow EVERY day.
