BETHLEHEM, NH -- The White Mountain School recently announced that Elizabeth Weed, Class of 2015, is this year's recipient of the Elmira College Key Award.

Sponsored by the Elmira College Alumni Association, the Elmira Key has been awarded since 1935. This merit award is bestowed upon one outstanding man and woman in the junior year of high school or preparatory school as nominated by the guidance or college counselor.

The Key holds a monetary scholarship value of $15,000 per year for a total of $60,000 over a 4-year period. Key winners will be considered for other Elmira College Honor Scholarships, as well as for need-based financial aid, after applying and being admitted to Elmira.

Elizabeth will continue with her studies next year as a member of the senior class at The White Mountain School.

Founded in 1886 and set in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, The White Mountain School is a coeducational college preparatory boarding and day school for grades 9-12. The White Mountain School believes in a culture of inquiry, and challenges students to try something new -- during a discussion in history class, on one of the Field Courses or through the planning of L.A.S.R. (Leadership, Arts, Service, and Research) projects.
