The fourth annual Regional Science Fair is coming to the Colebrook Elementary School gymnasium on Saturday, April 27 for students who want to compete for Top Regional Scientist ($100 prize) and for those who are vying for cash prizes for the top three Recycled Art projects.
The Colebrook Academy Key Club and The Green Group are expecting students in grades 1-12 to compete, from Pittsburg to Stark. Every year, there are amazing science projects, and last year there were amazing art projects.
Registration forms are available at every school office, at LinJo Creations on Main Street in Colebrook, and online at www.the-green-group.org. (Last year's forms are useable.) All registrations MUST be received by Tuesday, April 23 to compete for prizes.
Judging starts at 10 a.m. and continues until all projects are judged (approximately 1 p.m.). Prizes are awarded upon announcement of winners. Free lunch will be provided to all contestants, and will be available for a small fee for guests. Contestants are expected to be completely set up by 10, as doors open by 9 a.m.
This event is free and is open to the public. All are encouraged to attend.
