Lyndon Institute's Bridge Building Competition Results

 

LYNDON CENTER -- The 13th annual Lyndon Institute Middle School Bridge Building competition held on March 22 drew over 150 students from eight schools. Over 200 people attended the event. The bridges are constructed from Popsicle sticks, glue and dental floss. The following are the results of the competition:

Best Workmanship (5/5 score): Servant's Heart Academy, Team Valens Validas.

Best in Originality (4.5/5 score): Waterford School, Team Four Sisters and the Odd One Out.

Maximum Strength (2,832 lbs.)L Miller's Run School, Team General Lee.

Most Spectacular Failure (bridge breaking): Danville School, Team JAJ.

Overall score, First Place: Miller's Run School, A Bridge to Remember.

Overall score, Second Place: Miller's Run School, Redneck.

Overall score, Third Place: Miller's Run School, Jill of All Trades.
