LYNDON CENTER -- Lyndon State College's Department of Exercise Science obtained re-accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). When Lyndon's Exercise Science program received its first national accreditation in 2010, it was the 24th institution; there are now 43 accredited institutions nation-wide. Lyndon is the only accredited exercise science program in Vermont or New Hampshire. The re-accreditation runs through 2024.

CAAHEP is the largest programmatic postsecondary accrediting agency in the health sciences field recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). In collaboration with its 23 Committees on Accreditation, CAAHEP reviews and accredits more than 2100 entry level educational programs in 28 health science professions.
