Nattassia Marshall, of Wells River, was named a Saint Michael's College Presidential Scholar recently, providing her with full tuition support for attendance at Saint Michael's, located in Colchester, Vt. Marshall, a 2012 graduate of Blue Mountain Union School, earned this special award reserved for Vermont's top students through a competitive application. The Presidential Scholarship may be renewed each year for a maximum of four years. In addition to top academic qualifications, scholarship recipients are chosen on the basis of their leadership qualities, commitment to community service and potential to contribute to the Saint Michael's community. Only two such awards were granted this year.

Marshall was valedictorian of her class at Blue Mountain and president of the World Language Club. She was also co-captain of the varsity cheerleading squad and earned the Black Letter for MVP. She travelled on a school trip to Paris in February of her junior year, and regarded it as a rare and valuable experience. She is the daughter of Michael and Suzanne Marshall of Wells River.
