Thaddeus Stevens School holds spelling bee

THADDEUS STEVENS SCHOOL HOSTS SCRIPPS SPELLING BEE -- Lucinda Storz will represent Thaddeus Stevens School at the Vermont State Spelling Bee on March 19. The school held its Scripps Spelling Bee Feb. 11 and participants included: front row from left, Elissa Davis, Lucinda Storz, Sarah Barrett, Eliza Burroughs and Lauren Rauert; back row, Luke McCarthy, Devon Boardman, Orin Masure, Benjamin Bangs and Brian Lamar. After several rounds between runner-up Sarah Barrett and Lucinda Storz, Storz finally pulled ahead winning the competition with the word "affluent."
