TEACHERS' AIDES -- Members of Whitefield Elementary School's National Junior Honor Society, along with three hopeful future members of NJHS, work on a school service project. The students met with second-grade teacher Linda Bennion after school on Oct. 24 to assist her in setting up the materials for the newly arrived Fundations phonics and spelling program. Like any new "toy," Fundations came in many pieces that required organization and assembly before they can be used for student instruction. The students worked for two hours under Bennion's guidance and will be extending that assistance to other K-3 teachers in the near future. Shown with Bennion are: from left, Taima Ronish, Halle Glidden, Josh Plumley, Macee Smith, Bennion, Anthony Dami (hidden), Bella Cronin and Abbie McCusker.
