Angel Tree Matches Gifts With Children

Samantha Klepper, of HOPE in Lyndon, stands beside the charity’s Angel Tree. The Angel Tree matches a needy person with volunteers who ensure everyone gets at least one small gift for Christmas.

Helping Other People Everyday in Lyndon is making sure needy children and elderly are remembered this Christmas through their Angel Tree project.

Samantha Klepper, a staff member at H.O.P.E., said family members have supplied the name of a child, or perhaps an elderly person, to HOPE along with their age, gender, clothing sizes, needs and preferences. A person then hoping to bring a little cheer to someone draws a paper star off the Angel Tree with an identification number and all the corresponding information about the anonymous recipient to help them pick out an appropriate present.
