Vote Wayne Dyer for assistant judge
To the Editor:
The voters of Caledonia County have an opportunity in the upcoming Aug. 26 Republican Primary to cast a vote for Wayne Dyer for the office of assistant judge.
Wayne's training, life experiences and intelligence make him an ideal candidate for the office.
As a former Caledonia County State's Attorney, I had the opportunity to observe and work with Wayne when he was assigned to the St. Johnsbury State Police patrol area in his capacity as a trooper and then as a criminal investigator. Later, when Wayne was working with the office of the Vermont Attorney General, I had occasion to interact with him. Subsequent to that, after his retirement from the VSP, I was so impressed with his talent and ability that I asked him to join the prosecutor's office as a domestic assault investigator.
Wayne has also served as an investigator for the Judicial Conduct Board, an entity charged with investigating allegations of judicial misconduct, and for the Professional Conduct Board, an entity charged with investigating allegations of lawyer misconduct.
Wayne's experience and talent are not limited to investigations and its nuances. He has a vast interest in government, the role of the Legislature and the judiciary and the protection of the rights and liberties of the citizens of our state and country.
If I were a voter in Caledonia County, Wayne would have my vote for the office of assistant judge in the Aug. 26 primary.
