A Calligraphy workshop will be held at the Craftsbury Public Library on Saturday, March 23 from 2-4pm. Instructor Sonia Dunbar will draw from ancient English and Celtic traditions to lead a small group, beginning with basic brush strokes with India ink and calligraphy nibs and advancing to simple illumination techniques.

Last September a group of nine travelers and library supporters from the Craftsbury area spent eight days in County Kerry Ireland. Led by Craftsbury Public Library Director Susan O’Connell, the tour was designed to showcase the natural and historical wonders of the beautiful and rugged “Kingdom of Kerry” in Ireland’s Southwest.

The holdings in both library collections are now available to view online in one shared library catalog and patrons from either library will now have access to items from both collections with one library card.
