(The College Fix) – The University of Pittsburgh will require its students to “shelter-in-place” when they return to campus Jan. 8. Georgetown University will be virtual through Jan. 30. Yale University has pushed back the start of its spring semester a week to Jan. 25, and it will also start online.

Ronald St. John, of Newport, was recently named to the president’s list at The State University of New York (SUNY) at Potsdam. St. John, whose major is Music, was among 887 SUNY Potsdam students who were honored for academic excellence in the fall 2021 semester, having earned top marks. To achieve the honor of being on the president’s list, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.

The following area residents have been named to the spring 2021 dean’s list at Stonehill College in Easton, Mass. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered. Area students include: Lilly Leach of West Burke; Sarah Piper of St. Johnsbury.

Madison Lefebvre, of Lyndonville, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2021 summer semester at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. To be named to the dean’s list, full-time students must have achieved a grade point average of 3.40 or greater and must have completed 12 or more letter-graded credit hours.
