Anna K. McFarland, 98, of St. Johnsbury, Vt., passed away peacefully Sept. 21, 2021, at the St. Johnsbury Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born Feb. 6, 1923, in Noyesville, the daughter of Charles H. and Katherine A. (Sanborn) Kittredge.

Timothy Paul Watkins, 69, of St. Johnsbury Center, Vt. died at home on Aug. 14, 2021. Timothy was born Jan. 28,1952 in Lancaster, N.H. to Paul and Carol (Hillier) Watkins. He graduated from Lyndon Institute, Class of 1970. He attended Lyndon State College and The University of Vermont. After serving several companies in managerial/financial roles, Tim enjoyed a long and fulfilling career with Allen Lumber Company, where he was lovingly treated and supported as family. This support and care by the Allen family continued long after his retirement. Tim’s family is deeply grateful to the Allens for all they have done for Tim.

Charles and Patricia Cushman will be laid to rest on Saturday, July 3, 2021, in the St. Johnsbury Center Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Robert Potter officiating. Charles died on November 20, 2019, followed by Patricia a little over a year later on December 19, 2020. All are welcome to attend the service and a Celebration of Life following that at the home of their daughter, Kim Rowell at 171 Route 2, Kirby, Vt.

Hans Christopher Hahr, 63, of Bona Road, North Concord, Vt., passed unexpectedly in his sleep at the family home in St. Johnsbury Center, Sunday morning, May 9, 2021.

ST. JOHNSBURY — No injuries were reported as a result of a Sunday afternoon two-car accident at the intersection of Memorial Drive and Breezy Hill Rd. in St. Johnsbury Center.

Community generosity was in equal evidence to the snow that fell on Thursday as Rebecca Christie donates a $500 check to the St. Johnsbury Fire Department Santa Fund. The donation was made on behalf of the Center Tower convenience store in St. Johnsbury Center, with St. Johnsbury firefighter, Andrew Ruggles accepting the check. It was the second $500 donation to the fund that morning, following that of Community Bank. (Photo by Stephen Garfield)
