Community generosity was in equal evidence to the snow that fell on Thursday as Rebecca Christie donates a $500 check to the St. Johnsbury Fire Department Santa Fund. The donation was made on behalf of the Center Tower convenience store in St. Johnsbury Center, with St. Johnsbury firefighter, Andrew Ruggles accepting the check. The scheduled memorial service for Phyllis Copp which was to be held at the First Congregational Church, in St. Johnsbury Center, Vt. has been postponed. This will now take place sometime in 2021. Guibord, Pearsons & Sayles Funeral Homes are helping the family with arrangements.

ST. JOHNSBURY — A car was stolen from a Concord Avenue residence early Wednesday and later driven to the St. Johnsbury Center Cemetery where it was left burning.

Kathleen Vance passed away on Oct. 5, 2019, A graveside service at St. Johnsbury Center Cemetery will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 3 p.m. Memories and condolences may be shared with family at saylesfh.com.

Jonah and Marianne Hahr of Wells River, Vt., announce the birth of their daughter, Edith Helen Luann Hahr, at 5:28 a.m. on February 28, 2020 at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. Edith weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 20 inches long. She joins her brothers Ezra, Eugene and Jerome and her sister Nina.

A smart phone was turned into the St. Johnsbury Police Department at 12 p.m. on Jan. 30. It was found in St. Johnsbury Center. It can be claimed at the St. Johnsbury PD with proper identification.
