Thoughts on the Out-of-Doors: Dean of outdoor writers dies

Nelson Bryant died Saturday, January 11. Mention his name to generations of sportsman and likely you will get the same answer, he was the dean of outdoor writers.

Bryant was 96 and living on his beloved Martha’s Vineyard where he grew up hunting, fishing and learning about the natural world. He wrote his popular column for the New York Times from 1967-2005.
