Linda, Oak and I had a most enjoyable Thanksgiving at our hunting camp as has been our tradition. Last year was an exception as the snow was so deep I got stuck with our 4wd pickup trying to get to camp and had to come back home to get my tractor and pull it out. It was going to be too difficult to carry all the food on a sled so we opted to eat at home. This year there was less than two inches of snow so driving to camp was simple.

As I already have my buck, I was able to sleep in and have breakfast feeling no pressure to go hunting. A couple hours working in the office followed by the daily chore of getting wood in for three fires and I was ready to head to camp to start the fire a little before noon.
